In the second book of the series Eragon has made it to Farthen Dûr and has fought a battle with the Urgals and the Ra’zac. But now his friend Murtagh has been killed. Now Eragon has to go to the elves and learn how to be a Dragon Rider. Little does but while he is going to the elf place he is going to meet one of the oldest Dragon Riders there is. While he is there he learns how to sword fight and to connect to Saphira better than before. His cousin has just got engaged to this girl named Katrina who has just got captured by the Ra’zac. Now Ronan, Eragon’s cousin, has to get Katrina back from the Ra’zac.
